On April 26, Cumberland Mountain General Store in Clarkrange, TN, will host a Youth Entrepreneur Fair, an event showcasing the innovation, determination and business savvy of young entrepreneurs from across the region.
Jessica Hinton was inspired to organize the Youth Entrepreneur Fair from students she’s been teaching in her course ‘NextGen Entrepreneurs’ in area homeschool co-op groups.
“This isn’t just another fair — it’s a movement designed to empower young minds aged 6-17. Throughout this transformative course, students have learned the essentials of entrepreneurship, from product development and branding to marketing, customer service and financial literacy. These kids are not just dreaming about their futures; they are actively building them. They’ve taken their ideas, developed real products and are ready to showcase their businesses to the public. This fair is their launchpad,” Hinton said.
Attendees will have the opportunity to shop from a diverse range of youth-run businesses, each offering creative, high-quality and hand-crafted goods.
“From homemade treats to innovative crafts and practical household items, these young entrepreneurs have poured their passion and dedication into every product,” Hinton said.
The fair will also feature prizes, where students will present their businesses to a couple of local business leaders for a chance to win cash prizes.
Attending the Youth Entrepreneur Fair will:
• Support the next generation of entrepreneurs.
• Discover one-of-a-kind products.
• Encourage youth innovation and creativity.
• Inspire guests by the determination and resilience of young business owners.
The event is open to the public.
“This promises to be an unforgettable experience for families, business professionals and anyone passionate about fostering young talent,” Hinton said.
The Youth Entrepreneur Fair will be Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumberland Mountain General Store 6807 S York Hwy. Clarkrange.
Admission is free and parking is by donation.
