THOMASVILLE — Thomas County Central softball senior Aly Morabito has signed on to continue her athletic and academic career with Tallahassee Community College. Now set to be an Eagle, Morabito was a bright spot on the Central softball team with her excellent hitting and fielding, as well as her leadership abilities.
“Aly has been a great addition to our program. She works incredibly hard, she is a great teammate and a great young woman,” said Yellow Jackets head softball coach Robyn Trammell. “She has matured and developed every season and she was one of our best hitters and one of our best fielders and was a great leader for us this season. I am incredibly proud of how she much has matured and grown on the field and off the field.”
The TCC Eagles softball program is a very good one. They sit in the Panhandle conference, one of the toughest in the state of Florida. Last year, the Eagles went 22-20 and were excellent at home with a 10-6 record. They rattled off a six game win streak and a nine game win streak during the 2023 season.
“They have a great program and they are in a great conference. They’re in one of the toughest conferences in Florida,” Trammell said. “She will continue to get pushed and she’ll get better and then have an opportunity to further her career after her two years there. Tallahassee Community College is getting getting a great athlete and a great kid.”
