Wyndridge Health and Rehab Announces Dr. Marie Morrison, of UltaCare Medical as the new medical director.
UltaCare Medical, a leading provider in post-acute and palliative care, is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Marie Morrison, MD, MS, HMDC as the new Medical Director at Wyndridge Health and Rehab in Crossville.
UltaCare Medical will support Wyndridge and Morrison, with a complete team including Nurse Practitioners.
Morrison is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over 15 years of experience in internal medicine and a specialized focus in hospice and palliative care since 2017. She holds board certification as a hospice medical director and a master’s degree in palliative care, having trained under national leaders in hospice and palliative medicine, including faculty from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM).
She is a native of Oak Ridge, TN and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for her undergraduate education, completing two bachelor of science degrees, one in mathematics, and a second in biochemistry. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. She and her husband have four boys and enjoy spending time as a family.
Throughout her career, Morrison has demonstrated a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, focusing on both the medical and emotional needs of patients and their families during some of life’s most critical transitions. Her extensive experience includes leading interdisciplinary teams, managing complex medical diagnoses, facilitating end-of-life care discussions, and mentoring medical professionals.
