BEVERLY — The winners of the 30th annual 6th District Congressional High School Art Competition and Show were honored recently in a ceremony at Montserrat College of Art.
A total of 122 students from 21 schools across the district submitted their work to the show. The grand prize winner was Herin Lee, of Billerica High School. His winning piece, “Vulnerable,” will be sent to Washington, D.C., where it will hang in the U.S. Capitol building for one year alongside the winners from other Congressional districts across the country.
The winning work and honorable mentions were presented with a citation from Congressman Seth Moulton, D-Salem. Montserrat College of Art provided the honorable mentions with scholarships totaling $15,500 to the college’s Summer Pre-College Program.
