WINDHAM — Windham High School celebrated its 249 graduates during the school’s commencement on Friday.
The high school concert band led the seniors into the ceremony with “Pomp and Circumstance” while senior members of the choir performed the national anthem. The concert band also performed other musical selections during the evening.
School Board Chair Stephanie Wimmers welcomed the students, their families and friends, and school and district administration to graduation held on the high school’s soccer field.
Class President Shea Baddeley, Valedictorian Noah Haskell and Salutatorian Nate Kaplan all addressed their peers before Windham High School Principal Shannan McKenna conferred the diplomas for the graduates.
Superintendent Kori Alice Becht provided her remarks before the class turned their tassels and threw their caps.
Students were recognized for their achievements in different honor societies while others received department awards at the Blue and Gold Ceremony.
