FROSTBURG — Will Patterson scored a career-high 39 points, leading Mountain Ridge to a 81-51 victory over Bishop Walsh on Friday.
Patterson hit seven 3-pointers for the Miners (10-7).
He scored nine points in the first quarter and six in the second, going into halftime with 15 points.
Patterson scored 10 in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth. He hit four 3-pointers in the final eight minutes.
Brady Moran scored 16 points for Mountain Ridge with four 3-pointers.
Cameron Breighner added 12 points with eight in the third quarter.
Owen McGeady finished with 10 points.
Rodion Harbasenko led the Spartans (2-10) with 30 points.
He went 10 of 13 at the free throw line and scored 10 points in the first and third quarters.
David DiNola finished with 11 points for Bishop Walsh.
The Miners led 19-14 after one quarter and 35-30 at halftime.
Mountain Ridge outscored Bishop Walsh 27-12 in the third quarter and led 62-42.
The Miners outscored the Spartans 19-9 in the fourth quarter.
Mountain Ridge won the freshmen game over Northern 38-30.
Noah Kenner and Kaleb Logan led the Miners with eight points each while Peyton Poland added seven.
Gavin Maust led the Huskies with 14 points while Connor Harvey scored 11.
Mountain Ridge is at No. 1 Fort Hill on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Bishop Walsh is at Morgantown Christian this Friday at 6 p.m.
Paw Paw 78, Hancock 67
HANCOCK — Three players combined for all 78 of Paw Paw’s points in a win over Hancock on Friday.
Donovan Tanouye eclipsed 30 points for the third time this season with 34.
Tanouye went 13 of 15 at the foul line for the Pirates (12-6).
He made all 11 foul shots in the second half and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter.
Tanouye also had nine rebounds and two assists.
Ayden Crabtree scored 24 points including four 3-pointers with four rebounds and two assists.
He scored 13 in the first quarter including three triples.
Taylor Carder finished with 20 points, three rebounds and an assist.
Carder scored 13 in the second quarter, hitting three long balls.
Ethan Hill led the Panthers (3-13) with 21 points. He scored eight points in the first quarter and seven in the third quarter.
Isaiah Demory scored 11 points for Hancock.
The Pirates head to Pendleton County on Saturday at 2 p.m.
