VALDOSTA — Wild Adventures has announced exciting developments for the upcoming season, revealing a new upcoming area and new events that promise to enhance the park’s appeal to families across the Southeast.
Among the key highlights is the Wild Adventures Safari Campground, set to open in just over a month. The campground will offer full RV hookups, tent sites, and fully furnished cottages, along with exclusive access to Wild Adventures and Splash Island Waterpark. Guests will have unique animal encounters available only to those staying at the campground.
In addition to the campground, the park’s popular Great Pumpkin LumiNights event will return for its fourth year, featuring added attractions such as more towering pumpkin sculptures of a lion, zebra, and flamingos.
Guests can explore the illuminated Foggy Forest, the Glow Grove, and the Garden of Giants, alongside the expanded LumiNight Legends Pumpkin Gallery, showcasing more than 175 intricately carved pumpkins.
Looking further ahead, Wild Adventures is gearing up for its big holiday celebration, Wild Adventures Christmas Wild and Bright, which kicks off on Nov. 23 and runs through Dec. 31.
The event will feature new attractions like Twinkling Timbers, a breathtaking display of lights suspended 40 feet in the air, and Glimmer Grove, transforming the park into a vibrant wonderland of colors. Families can also enjoy festive activities, including a retelling of the Christmas story, visits with Santa, and the Candy Cane Express.
During the announcement, Jon Vigue, general manager and vice president of the park, discussed the upcoming new area. “Waters Edge” will offer three family rides, seven animal exhibits, and a live entertainment stage.
Visitors can enjoy thrilling rides like the reimagined Horizon Wheel and the Wing Swinger, while animal lovers can explore exhibits featuring brilliantly colored macaws and a new reptile house. Waters Edge will also include various new food options and the park’s first sensory-friendly quiet room for families with sensory sensitivities.
“These new additions are proof that Water’s Edge is more than just new attractions,” Vigue added. “It’s about continuing the mission that has driven Wild Adventures for more than 25 years. It’s about bringing families closer together and giving them a place to escape, recharge and reconnect.”
With these additions, Wild Adventures continues attracting visitors from across the Southeast and contributing to the local economy. David DiSalvo, executive director of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Conference Center & Tourism Authority, spoke on the impact of Wild Adventures and its new additions.
“With each new attraction, each event, and each investment, Wild Adventures not only enhances the experience for its guests but also raises the profile of Valdosta as a multi-visit destination,” stated DiSalvo.
