During Thursday’s Crossville planning commission, a site plan for a new Weigel’s was revealed.
The new Weigel’s will be at the current location of Stonehaus Winery. According to the site plan, it will be 6,605 square feet, with 50 parking spaces and a car wash. The station will have 10 pumps. The location is near Buc-ee’s.
The plan was approved unanimously.
Stonehaus Winery Owner Bob Ramsey said that the winery will stay in business.
Their current property is for sale under contract, and is not final until the property is closed on.
“Until it’s a done deal we can’t confirm the future plans as to where we’ll be located,” Ramsey said. “We are considering other properties… We were here when cow pastures were all around us, before Stone Memorial.”
The final plat for another Weigel’s, which will take the place of Chestnut Hill Winery, was approved during the meeting.
The Weigel’s location approved in July will be located on Peavine Road and is a similar size to the one that will take the place of Stonehaus.
