WOMEN’S COLLEGE HOCKEY
Endicott 1, Western New England 0 (OT): Topsfield’s own Maddie DiNardo broke up on the left wing and used a nifty shot to the glove to score the only goal of the Conference of New England title game, sending her team to a repeat championship at 6:21 of overtime at Bourque Arena.
DiNardo’s winner came on the 57th shot of the game for No. 13 ranked Endicott (21-4-2) and was assisted by Ella Rago. Lauren Ferrari made 18 saves for the Gulls, who now advance to the Division 3 national tournament for the fourth time in the last seven seasons.
MEN’S HOCKEY
Endicott 2, University of New England 1: Noah Gibbs scored a pair of second period goals while netminder Peter Sterling finished with 24 saves as the Gulls (21-3-3) went to Biddeford, Maine and came home with a CNE title and an NCAA Division 3 playoff berth. Louie Kamienski, Sebastian Speck, Antti Autere and defenseman Kyle Furey of Marblehead each had an assist for Endicott in the title-clinching win.
Swampscott’s Drew Oliveiri scored on a third period power play marker for UNE.
WRESTLING
Coleman second in New England: At the New England championships in Providence, Salem’s Alexia Coleman had an historic performance by making it to the New England title match at 132 pounds. Coleman won her first three matches of the tournament before falling via decision in the title bout to finish in second place.
Josey takes crown: On the boys side, St. John’s Prep’s 190 pound machine Sam Josey won the New England title via an exciting 4-3 decision in the championship match. Fellow Eagle James Lally made a surprise run to second place overall at 144, scoring an upset win in the semifinals. Other qualifiers from St. John’s were Octavio DeOliveira at 175 and Will LaVallee at 150, with both going 2-2 on the weekend.
Peabody/Saugus grappler Michael Maraio also qualified at 150 but bowed out in the Round of 32.
MEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE
Salem State 27, Anna Maria 5: Landon Rice had a team-high seven goals and the Vikings (1-1) cruised to their first win of the season. Beverly native Grady Smith scored five times for Salem State, which led 9-0 after one, James Tatro had two goals and six assists and Peabody native Cam Collins also scored.

Endicott 15, Springfield 10: Masconomet grad Emmy Clark had four goals and three assists and the Gulls (2-0) used a 6-2 second quarter run to take command of the game. Leah Black added four goals and four assists in a strong showing and Mia Smith contributed a hat trick.

Endicott 3, Bard 1: A career high 27 kills from Aidan Iacovelli helped the Gulls (12-3) to their 12th straight victory. Matty Tiernan added 49 assists and Dan Battista finished with a match-high 23 digs for the winners.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Gordon 8, Lakeland 7: A Gabe Fales RBI single in the seventh inning snapped a tie and helped the Scots (1-2) pick up their first win of the season in Florida. Cam Wilbur had three hits and three RBI, Carter Shin three hits, two runs scored and two RBI, and Tyson Wilson and Aaron Ferreira each added three base knocks in Gordon’s 19-hit attack.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Gordon drops two: The Scots fell to 1-3 on the season after a pair of 5-inning setbacks: 12-4 to Carroll and 11-0 to Husson. Gordon managed just nine hits in the two contests.
