The WCTE PBS annual Great TV Auction is underway May 31-June 8.
“This exciting fundraiser is the station’s largest and longest-running event, offering hundreds of amazing items through an around-the-clock online auction, plus five nights of live televised showcases filled with fun and community spirit,” said Jordyn Wyzgowski-Wachter, executive administrator and marketing assistant for the Cookeville PBS station.
Online bidding is open to viewers on a wide range of donated items. The live televised auction special will take place from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, June 4-Sunday, June 8. It features an array of items including gift cards, regional experiences and fine art.
View the live televised auction via cable TV providers, streaming devices such as Roku and Fire TV, or livestreaming at wcte.org/live, Facebook and YouTube.
All proceeds benefit WCTE PBS, supporting regional programming, education initiatives, and community outreach. “Whether you’re on vacation or relaxing at the lake, bidding is easy from anywhere,” said Wyzgowski-Wachter.
“Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community sponsors, the auction features an impressive selection of items — from restaurant gift cards and weekend getaways to handcrafted art, jewelry, and unique local services. Bidding is open 24/7 for the duration of the event.”
Wyzgowski-Wachter welcomes viewers to join WCTE PBS for “Auction with Avery” Thursday, June 5, at Spankies Restaurant in Cookeville.
“This festive, Dutch-treat evening invites supporters to gather for great food, fellowship, and live bidding fun during the televised broadcast,” she added.

“For over 40 years, WCTE PBS has served as the trusted storyteller for the Upper Cumberland, supporting education, public health, the arts, and local voices,” Wyzgowski-Wachter said. “As one of only 350 PBS member stations nationwide — and the only one within a 75-mile radius of Cookeville — WCTE remains committed to building a stronger, more connected region.”
