WATERVILLE — A 68-year-old Waterville man was hospitalized after the Polaris UTV he was riding in rolled over while turning onto Highway 13 in Waterville Tuesday afternoon.
Mark Raymond Abbe, who was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, was a passenger in a 2014 Polaris RZR sport side-by-side driven by Anthony John Schmitz, 57, of Waterville.
The Polaris was eastbound on 1st Street, attempting to turn left onto northbound Highway 13, when it rolled into the ditch just before 1:30 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Both men were wearing seat belts, and Schmitz was not injured.
