INDIAN LAKE — A strong third quarter was just what Willsboro needed to hold on to defeat Indian Lake/Long Lake, 41-39, Tuesday.
The Warriors scored 15 points in the third, with Avery Lee scoring 11 of those points to turn a three-point deficit into a lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Lee and Gavin Hathaway made key buckets in the closing minutes and while the defense would bend, it didn’t break.
Lee had a game high 25 points with teammate Harvey Merrill adding 10.
Tyler Mack and Griffin Farr had strong games for Indian Lake/Long Lake as they score 11 and 10 points, respectively.
“Connor Crowningshiled and Cole Gay did a good job defending in the paint and defensive rebounding in the second half,” Willsboro coach Eric Arnold said.
