PLATTSBURGH — Unofficial village election results for Clinton and Franklin counties include a new mayor being elected in Saranac Lake.
CLINTON COUNTY
In the Village of Rouses Point, Mayor John LaBonte was re-elected to a third two-year term, receiving 275 votes to challenger Jedidiah Thone’s 106.
Trustees Brian Pelkey and Benjamin Arno were also re-elected to their posts with 282 votes and 289 votes, respectively.
In the Village of Champlain, two trustee positions were on the ballot.
Thomas Ryan from the new Bull Moose Party received 34 votes and Aislinn Vilardo from the Village Recreation Party received 31 votes to get elected. There were no write-in ballots.
Both positions are two-year terms.
In the Village of Dannemora, just one trustee seat was up for grabs, with Donita McIntosh winning the race.
McIntosh received 44 of the 48 votes cast.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
In the Village of Saranac Lake, Kelly Brunette won the mayoral seat against incumbent Jimmy Williams, 775 to 476 votes.
Jeremy Evans, with 842 votes, and David Trudeau, with 823 votes, both won seats on the Saranac Lake board, as well.
In the Village of Chateaugay, two trustee seats were on the ballot for a two-year term. The current incumbents, Valerie Dalton and Courtney Leonard both won re-election.
In the Village of Burke, Mayor Greg Perrigo and Trustee Gary Lewis retained their seats by receiving seven votes each in Tuesday’s election. Both seats are two-year terms.
