BELLAIRE — The Antrim County Office of Emergency Management asks townships and villages along the Upper Chain of Lakes to continue the temporary closure of their public boat launches until further notice.
Floating and submerged debris, high water levels and strong currents continue to be a risk to boaters, according to a news release Friday. There is also an erosion concern as boat wakes in the current high-water conditions have the potential to accelerate or further damage homes, shorelines and infrastructure.
