A Lake Crystal man was hospitalized after a crash late Wednesday afternoon on Highway 169 near South Bend Township.
The Minnesota State Patrol said that at 5:42 p.m. Wednesday a Subaru Legacy driven by Jeremy Gordon Kuznia, 50, rear-ended a semi driven by Jimmie Walter Davis, 63, of Minneapolis, who was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
The crash report says it is unknown whether Kuznia was wearing a seat belt. It also says investigators are awaiting blood-test results, and that such indications on crash reports are done when crash investigators have probable cause to believe a driver may have been impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Kuznia’s injuries initially were deemed “life-threatening,” but later were updated to “non life-threatening.” The State Patrol said Kuznia suffered several broken bones.
