The United Fund of Cumberland County is fast approaching the completion of the Fairfield Glade door-to-door campaign, which ran from Oct. 1-Nov. 17.
The campaign was led by Chair David Kerry, who recruited and coordinated more than 20 volunteers to canvass their neighborhoods, write letters or helped prepare the mail-out in Fairfield Glade.
One of the volunteers was Jody Schuning, who contacted her neighbors who live on Lexham, Dunwich and Beechcroft.
Holly Neal, executive director of the United Fund, expressed her gratitude to Schuning and all the other volunteers who are making the campaign a success.
“We couldn’t do it without them,” she said. “They are the heart and soul of the United Fund. They give their time, energy and passion to make a difference in our community”
Neal also thanked Fairfield Glade residents for their donations and support.
“We are so grateful for the generosity of this community,” she said. “They have shown that they care about their neighbors and want to make Cumberland County a better place for everyone.”
The Cumberland United Fund is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for local agencies that provide health, education and human services to the residents of Cumberland County.
