When I was getting my yoga training in India, our guru (master-teacher) used to say:
“Even though a human being is just a cell on the body of our Earth and yet he/she has the brain power to know everything, provided the brain is used to its 100% capacity!”
When our third eye opens up, we realize the fact that we (humans) are just a cell on the body of this Earth and the Earth is just a cell on the body of our solar system. Though our sun is more than a million times the size of the Earth, our sun is just a tiny star among more than 200 billion stars; a cell on the body of our galaxy. In turn, our galaxy is just a cell on the body of our universe. However, there are more than 200 billion galaxies and more than 200 billion universes. Furthermore, our universe is just a cell in the multiverse and the multiverse constitutes only 4% of The Force. The other 96% of The Force is called dark matter or energy by the astrophysicists and as Infinite Consciousness Enjoying Itself Eternally (Sat Chit Ananda) by yoga.
Even though we are the minutest cell in the universe, we as human beings are capable of knowing this complex puzzle. Through the practice of yoga, we can grasp the nature of this mysterious force.
Furthermore, the universe around us is an open book ready to reveal its secrets. Stay curious like a child. In your heart and mind remain as a kid whose curiosity is unlimited. The possibilities are numerous and enchanting. Your education should continue all your life. Though it appears that each of us is limited, we have the infinite capacity to learn and flourish.
Our teacher would suggest a number of Yoga exercises to understand and resolve this complex puzzle. He instructed us to do these exercises daily. They would activate our brain to move from a limited perspective to taste the infinite within. Doing yoga on a regular basis would help us to make this possible.
Here is one such exercise. This exercise is a suggestion only. When done on a regular basis, it might help:
Lie in bed on your back with arms resting next to your body. Close both eyes. Breathe in and out. Now, put your right hand flat on your abdomen below the rib cage. As you breathe in, you fill up the abdomen like a balloon. Feel this upward movement of the abdomen with the rising of your hand. Now gently start breathing out. Let the abdomen collapse under your hand. Breathe in again and feel the rising and then breathe out to feel the collapsing of the abdomen. Repeat this 15 to 20 times and then extend it to five minutes until you fall asleep. Do the same exercise when you wake up in the morning. This exercise is a helpful way to start your day and a good way to end your activities at night.
