Berrios to New Haven

In other recruiting news, Brooks School receiver/defensive back Tristan “T.Y.” Yepdo picked up an offer from the University of Pennsylvania, he announced. He also has offers from UMass Amherst and the University of Rhode Island.
Morales makes history
Congratulations go out to former Central Catholic star Jaycob Morales and his Masconomet boys basketball team, which earned the program’s first home state tournament victory in 15 years when the Chieftains took down No. 26 Hopkinton 77-59 on Thursday. It was the program’s first time hosting a tourney game in seven years.
Morales, a former Raider hoops and football standout, is in his first year leading Masco.
Change coming
Change is on the way for former North Andover star quarterback Jack O’Connell and ex-Methuen record-setting QB Drew Eason. Their offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Stonehill University, Tyler Moody, has been hired as head coach at The College of New Jersey.
O’Connell, a junior, appeared in five games this past fall, throwing for 675 yards and eight touchdowns. Eason, a freshman, appeared in two games, throwing for 178 yards an a touchdown. His brother Shane Eason is joining the Skyhawks in the fall.
