The Unatego girls soccer team upset top-seeded Bainbridge-Guilford 3-1 in Tuesday’s Midstate Athletic Conference playoff game.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 halftime lead thanks to a goal by Breegan George.
It didn’t take long for Unatego to tie things up as Lizzie Craft scored just five minutes into the second half. Craft scored again just nine minutes later to give the Spartans the lead. Both of Craft’s goals were assisted by Harly Birdsall.
Lilyanna Barnes iced the win with a long-distance goal just past the halfway mark in the second half.
Dixie Boglioli made six saves in the win while Danica Park had 20 stops for the Bobcats.
Unatego improves to 11-3-1 and will face Oxford in Saturday’s title game in Oneonta. B-G drops to 9-4.
Oxford 3, Sidney 2, 2OT
Kayla Knapp scored with 11 seconds left in the second overtime to lift Oxford to a 3-2 win over Sidney in the MAC semifinals on Tuesday.
Knapp scored twice in the win for the Blackhawks while Taegan Manwarren also netted a goal.
Zoe Sullivan and Adrianna Tanner were the goal scorers for Sidney.
Oxford improves to 11-3 while Sidney falls to 11-4.
Franklin 2, Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs 1, OT
Shannon Kingsbury set a school single-season scoring record in leading Franklin to a 2-1 overtime win against Cherry Valley-Springfield/Sharon Springs on Tuesday in the Tri-Valley League consolation playoff game.
Kingsbury found the back of the net in the first extra period thanks to an assist from Irene Cox. She tied the game midway through the second half with an assist by Ivana Svecharnik.
Kingsbury, who became the Purple Devils’ career scoring leader earlier this season, has a school-record 41 goals this season.
Zarie Fassett gave CV-S/SS a 1-0 halftime lead when she scored with just over two minutes left on the clock.
Macey Beers had six saves for Franklin while Ava Jump had five stops for CV-S/SS.
Franklin (11-4-1) and CV-S/SS (9-6) await their opening-round matchups in next week’s sectional playoffs.
Milford 4, Schenevus 1
Milford defeated Schenevus 4-1 in Tuesday’s Tri-Valley League playoff game.
Kara Mertz scored twice for the Wildcats while Zoie Stanley and Lexi Sutphin each found the back of the net as well. Lexi Keator had the only goal for the Dragons.
Bella Qua made eight saves for Milford while Leah Brundge stopped four shots for Schenevus.
Milford improves to 8-6 and Schenevus drops to 9-7 heading into the sectional playoffs.
Laurens 6, Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 0
Laurens blanked Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 6-0 in Tuesday’s Tri-Valley League contest.
Libby Cox netted a hat trick for the Leopards while also providing an assist. Brooke Mann had two goals and an assist, Nicole Stanley scored a goal and Natalie Davis notched an assist.
Ariana LeBeau made five saves in the shutout while Alexis Davis had 21 stops for G-MU.
Gilboa/Roxbury 2, Margaretville 0
Gilboa/Roxbury took down Margaretville 2-0 in a Delaware League game on Tuesday.
Angie D’Antoni and Kelly Kalleberg had the goals in the victory while Chamille Sass added an assist.
Caitlyn Ciaravino made eight saves to earn the shutout while Margaretville’s Amorelle Gavette also had eight stops.
G/R improves to 6-7-3 while Margaretville drops to 2-9-1.

Gilboa/Roxbury clinched a spot in the Delaware League title game with a 1-0 road win over Margaretville on Tuesday.
Donovan Fermin’s first-half goal proved to be enough to secure the win for G/R. David Cammer didn’t need to make any saves in goal in the shutout while Margaretville’s CJ Fairbairn had 12 stops.
G/R (10-2-2) will play in Saturday’s title game in Oneonta. Margaretville (7-6-1) will face Walton/Downsville on Thursday in an elimination game.
Cooperstown 2, Sauquoit Valley 1
A late goal by Jackson Crisman lifted Cooperstown to a 2-1 victory over Sauquoit Valley on Tuesday.
Cooperstown opened the scoring in the first half on a goal by Jameson Gable. After Sauquoit Valley tied things up less than two minutes into the second half, Crisman scored the game-winner with just over seven minutes left in regulation.
Cooper Bradley and Janak Pandit each had an assist for the Hawkeyes and Cooper Coleman made four saves in net.
Cooperstown (11-4) will conclude its regular season on Saturday at Westmoreland.

GOLF
The Oneonta golf team had six players competing in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference Championship on Tuesday at the Mark Twain Golf Club in Elmira.
Dylan Brislin’s round of 84 marked the top score of the day for the Yellowjackets. Jackson Frazier also broke 90 with a round of 88 while Landon Weaver (94), Britten Zeh (96), Nolan Stark (96) and Kason Miller (106) each competed as well.
Maine-Endwell won the team championship with a score of 411 and Binghamton’s Sam Ligas was the individual champion with a round of 73.
Oneonta ends the fall season with a record of 12-2.
FIELD HOCKEY
Walton 3, Moravia 2
A late goal lifted the Walton field hockey team to a 3-2 win over Moravia on Tuesday.
Gwyn Northrup scored the game-winner for the Warriors with 2:14 left on the clock thanks to an assist by Reese Underwood.
Walton went up 2-0 in the second quarter thanks to a pair of goals by Chasidy Constable and Kylie Wood. Mackenzie Roach made two saves in the win.
Walton (5-9) will host Tioga on Wednesday.

Oneonta 100, Windsor 60
The Oneonta girls swim team improved to 5-1 on the season Tuesday with a 100-60 victory over Windsor in which the Yellowjackets finished first in every event.
Adella Koehn, Kinnley Wightman and Peyton Gregory each won three individual events for OHS. Koehn took first in the 200 and 100 freestyle swims, Wightman won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and Gregory won both the 50 free and 100 backstroke.
Adriana Ploutz won the diving, Shayla Truesdell was first in the 100 butterfly and Kaylen Turley won the 500 free.
Oneonta will host Chenango Forks next Tuesday.
