Child Find to host event
PLAISTOW — Timberlane Regional Schools will offer a Child Find event from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Nov. 17, at Sandown Central School, 295 Main St.
The purpose of the screening is to identify children (age 2.5 to 6) who may require special education services. Screenings may be conducted in the areas of communication skills, motor skills, social skills, adaptive skills, cognitive skills, vision, and hearing.
The program is open to residents of Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow and Sandown.

DERRY — Beginning Wednesdays this fall, the Upper Room in Derry will host its popular Expressions Creative Series from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the family resource center, 36 Tsienneto Road. Designed exclusively for middle schoolers, Expressions invites students ages 11 to 14 to explore a variety of hands-on projects.
This season’s lineup includes mosaic designs, journaling, glass art, leaf lanterns and festive pumpkin creations, all aimed at sparking creativity and building friendships. SALEM — As part of their mission to reduce pet overpopulation and support the community, Salem Animal Rescue League now offers affordable spay/neuter clinics to help keep cats and dogs healthy and out of shelters.
Vaccinations, microchipping, and other services may be available for an additional cost. They can only offer these services as an add-on to spaying/neutering. Low-cost assistance is available to spay or neuter dogs, cats, and rabbits.
