The book Boy Soldiers of the Confederacy ,Collated by Susan R. Hull is a Non-Fictional book that was presented to the Thomas County Public Library by John B. Gordon chapter 383 UDC. This book is interesting because it describes distinguishing heroism acts on the battlefield during the War Between the States by the so-called “Boy Soldiers”. These young boys showed disciplined actions when their ranks were broken by enemy fire.The stories tell that these young boys never faltered while they were in the middle of battles.. The stories in the book share the boy soldiers’ undying devotion to their mother, country and God. Many of these young men died on the battlefield. The author of this book, which was written in 1905, said she collected stories of these boys in battles. Several of the boys she wrote about were in the age ranges of 11,12,13,16, and 18. The author said that “These soldiers’ bravery never wavered.”
