Two Falls men are in custody after detectives with the Niagara Falls Police Department’s Narcotics and Intelligence Unit (NID) and investigators from the Niagara County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant in the 600 block of 22nd Street on Thursday.
Using the Falls Police Department’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), detectives breached a door at 628 22nd St., Apt 2, and made their arrests. Investigators said a search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of a quantity of narcotics and a firearm.
The narcotics are being turned over to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office forensic lab. Detectives said drug-related charges are pending against both suspects, who have not yet been identified.
A 38-year-old male, who was the subject of the task force investigation, has been on a weapons-related count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The second male suspect was held on an outstanding warrant.
