Fairfield Glade Lions Club First Vice President and Membership Chairman Bill Bock recently performed an induction ceremony for three new members, Ray Pilon, Jane Madden, and Tom Madden.
Ray’s sponsor for membership was Bock. The membership sponsor for the Maddens was Lion Marge Marola.
Bock told the inductees that the club would be making a donation to Lions Club International Foundation in their individual names.
Pilon and his wife, Casey, moved to Fairfield Glade from Sarasota, FL, 15 years ago. A retired Sarasota deputy sheriff and former Sarasota County commissioner, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and music.
The Maddens moved to Fairfield Glade from Easton, MA, three years ago. Jane has experience in medical billing and as an educational aide. Tom retired as a captain in the United States Merchant Marine.
Jane enjoys reading and cheering for the Boston Bruins, while Tom enjoys woodworking, specially building wooden ship models.
The Fairfield Glade Lions Club is one of the largest Lions Clubs in Tennessee. The club has been recognized by the Lions organization as one of the most active clubs for serving their community.
Fairfield Glade Lions local programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, vision and hearing screening for children, diabetes awareness, a Student of the Month program, and youth outreach.
Dinner meetings are 6-8 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the Christ Lutheran Church on Snead Drive.

Membership is open to both men and women, and a special rate is available for married couples. Bock can also make a date for prospective members to visit their first meeting at no cost.
