ST. PETER — On Monday crews will begin removing trees along a section Highway 22 in preparation for a resurfacing project slated this summer, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorists will encounter shoulder closures along Highway 22 while trees are being removed from areas between St. Peter and the Highway 111 intersection. The tree removal should be completed before the end of March.
The resurfacing project is slated to begin in mid-July and continue until mid-October. A traffic detour will be in effect during the project.
