TRAVERSE CITY — Liz Vogel resigned from her position as Traverse City’s top administrator.
City Attorney Lauren Trible-Laucht confirmed Vogel resigned on Thursday, a day after the city manager was set to return from a three-week medical leave. Trible-Laucht declined to comment further and said the city would issue a statement.
Vogel joined in January 2024 after city commissioners hired her in late 2023. Her hire came after commissioners’ largely unexplained decision to fire former Manager Marty Colburn in April 2023.
