MANKATO — Minnesota State men’s hockey player Alex Tracy has been named a finalist for both the Mike Richter Award and Hobey Baker Memorial Award.
Tracy, a top-10 Hobey finalist, is 25-8-3 with a 1.41 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage, including five shutouts. He leads Division I in both goals-against average and save percentage and has already been named CCHA Player of the Year.
Trey Augustine (Michigan State), Albin Boija (Maine) and Jacob Fowler (Boston College) are the other three finalists for the Richter Award, which goes to the top goaltender in Division I.
The Mavericks (26-8-3) host St. Thomas in the CCHA championship game at 7:07 p.m. Friday.
