COLUMBUS — Temond Marcus earned fourth place at the GIAA state track and field meet last week at Columbus’ Mack Strong Stadium.
Competing in Class AAA, Marcus threw 45-2.75 in shot put. Ian McGarry
of Brookstone won with a fling of 47-4.
J.R. Walker was seventh in the finals of the 400 meters, running in 54.96. That was the same finish as he had in the preliminaries, where he ran in 52.41 seconds.
Wyatt Thompson was 10th in discus, his best throw being 107-0.
Jasmin Olson competed in triple jump. The Panthers also had a team in the 4×800 and 4×100. Charlie Burke, Harrison Powell, Walker and Marcus competed in the relays.
