TIFTON — Tift County soccer fell to two Region 1-6A opponents in a tough week last week.
Thomas County Central and Lee County won boys and girls games from the Blue Devils and Lady Devils.
Undefeated TCC is currently on a streak of seven consecutive shutouts. They scored five goals in Thomasville against the Lady Devils. Lee won, 2-0, in Tifton. Head coach Sherri Constable said she felt her team outplayed the Lady Trojans, who hit two tough goals for the final score.
TCC defeated the Devils 6-2 and Lee won, 7-1. Head coach Bobby Earls said Jordan Lopez and Diego Olguin scored in the former. An own goal provided Tift’s point Friday night. Earls said his crew continues to battle inexperience.
Tift hosts two opponents this week, Thomas County Central on Tuesday and Veterans on Friday.
