GIRLS HOCKEY
Beverly 5, Andover 2: The rink was pink Thursday night at Bourque Arena when Beverly and Andover gathered for the annual Colleen Ritzer Memorial game. It is played in honor of the late teacher from Danvers High (which co-ops with Beverly) who grew up in Andover. The tradition goes back to 2014 and players from both teams used pink tape to decorate their sticks and helmets to show off Ritzer’s favorite color and Andover’s players wore special jerseys that all had her name on the back.
