St. John’s Prep 231, BC High 242: Junior AJ Bodnar’s 36 at Kernwood Country Club helped pace the Eagles to their 10th win in 11 matches. Senior Jack Moriarty checked in with a 38, seniors Jack Carew and Cole Cullen, plus junior Seamus O’Holleran, each fired 39s, and senior Logan Daigle also had a strong round with a 40.
Hamilton-Wenham 190, Georgetown 148: Reid Faldi scored 38 points and Liam Berrigan added 36 as the Generals won handily. Logan Guittarr earned another 34 points and Grayson Minich 32 for Hamilton-Wenham, which will take on arch rival Ipswich Friday.
Newburyport 170, Essex Tech 169: Landon Pelletier had 34 points to pace the Hawks and Trey Archive notched 31.
VOLLEYBALL
Masconomet 3, Salem 1: The Chieftains got back in the win column as senior Cate Wettstone had 13 kills, two blocks and three aces. Setter Jordan Draper led the team in hitting at .500 and added four aces while junior Nora Sterner added five aces.
For the Witches, senior Liv Loux had seven kills and five aces while junior captain Yanalis Ventura had 32 digs and senior captain Mia Silva added 10 assists with eight aces.
Beverly 3, Winthrop 1: Riley MacDonald had eight kills, Lidia Miedema had eight aces and Sophia Balducci provided 14 digs as the Panthers earned a 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-16 win.

St. John’s Prep 5, Catholic Memorial 0: It was another shutout for keeper Matt Droggitis, his eight, and the Eagles offense was powered by Joe DeCesare (two goals), Garrison Murphy (goal, two assists) and Ryan King (goal, two assists). Mike Hutchinson also scored and midfielders Owen Beeny and Noah Lear had strong performances.
Pingree 2, Lexington Christian 2: Charlie Mark had a dominant effort in the midfield and assisted on both goals to help the Highlanders grab a draw. Pop Reath and Matty Barresi took care of the scoring for Pingree.
GIRLS SOCCER
Salem 1, Amesbury 0: The Witches (6-2-1) bombarded the Amesbury net but couldn’t put one home until Mackenzie Eichel deposited MayMay Eichel’s rebound in the second half to win it. Salem’s defense and keeper Amelia Meegan posted their third straight shutout, and sixth in nine games, and Caroline Antztek, Hadley Austin and Jackie Fritz all played strong games.
Pentucket 3, Essex Tech 0: The Hawks fell to 4-5-1 with solid play from freshman Liz Shea as well as seniors Riziki Kibai and Sydney Mace.
Ipswich 7, Rockport 1: Una Whyte provided a hat trick as the Tigers (2-6-2) got back in the win column in emphatic fashion. Asuka Keough netted a pair of goals while Mary Love and Sophie Magers also scored. Lyla Greenleaf and Sophie Magers each had two assists on the night.

Newburyport 3, Ipswich 0: The Tigers were swept at home, 25-15, 25-16, 25-7, falling to 3-10 on the season.

Assumption 7, Endicott 0: The Gulls went down in straight sets with Reece Goodman’s three game wins in a set being the best showing of the afternoon.
