LONDONDERRY — Three men from out-of-state face charges of organized retail crime and receiving stolen property in connection with thefts from Home Depot in Londonderry.
Londonderry police arrested Shakeen Harris, 25, of Brooklyn, New York; Kofi Griffith, 25, of Brooklyn, New York; and Jaret Simpson, 30, of Hackensack, New Jersey.
Police arrived on scene at Home Depot, 41 Nashua Road, after a witness called on Wednesday, April 17, saying the suspects allegedly stole several items. The caller described the vehicle the men left in as a white SUV that had damaged front tires from hitting a median.
The vehicle then reportedly got onto Interstate 93 and traveled in the breakdown lane until it was unable to continue.
Londonderry police arrived at the vehicle, saw it had New York registration, and reported three men inside. As the officer approached, the men excited the vehicle and fled.
While the officer was able to hold one at gunpoint, two others allegedly ran into a Derry neighborhood. The Derry police and New Hampshire State Troopers helped locate the two fugitives near Spinnaker Road.
Londonderry police reported several items in the SUV, including electronics, lighting equipment, and surge protectors, but are currently waiting for a search warrant to be issued for the vehicle.
All three men face charges of organized retail crime and receiving stolen property with a value of $1,000 or more. Harris and Griffith also face charges for resisting arrest.
All three are being held without bail at the Rockingham County House of Corrections.
Harris and Griffith were arraigned on April 18 and will face a probable cause hearing at Derry District Court on April 24.
Simpson was arraigned in Derry District Court on April 19.
