Three people were injured after a pickup truck drove into the UPS Store on Military Road Sunday morning in the Town of Niagara.
The crash occurred about 10 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the pickup told police he was making a left turn into the store’s parking lot and drove over the curb in order to get into the lot due to the size of the truck. He said he hit the accelerator to get the truck up over the curb and the truck then slid into the building.
Town of Niagara Police, Niagara Active, Mercy EMS, and Niagara County EMS responded to the scene at 2430 Military Road. Arriving police officers found three people inside the store in need of medical attention after being struck by debris from the crash.
An adult female was transported to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy EMS. An adult female and a child were transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by Niagara County EMS to be evaluated. The adult male driver of the truck was not injured.
Police are investigating the crash.
