NEWBURYPORT — The PEG Center for Art & Activism presents “This Is America 3,” an art exhibit that explores the multifaceted essence of the American experience through creative expression. “This Is America 3” is on display now through Dec. 20, at 3 Harris St. in Newburyport. A public reception with the artists will be held Nov. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The PEG Center.
Artist Jamaal Eversley and gallery director/arts and culture producer Claudia Fiks curated the art in “This Is America 3.” It was originally hosted at The Nearby Gallery in Newton in 2023, then featured at Boston City Hall in the Scollay Square Gallery earlier this year from June through July.
“’This is America 3’ explores our country through the heart, soul and eyes of more than 25 artists. Each piece speaks a narrative. Each piece pulls, pushes and releases,” PEG Center Executive Director Paula Estey said .
The PEG Center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from noon to 5 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, from noon to 4 p.m. Follow The Peg Center at www.thepegcenter.org for events, programs and more.
