The last sign of Chestnut Hill Winery

The last sign — both literally and figuratively — that the former Chestnut Hill Winery had once occupied the site at Peavine Road at Interstate 40 was hooked to cranes Tuesday morning for removal.
It was gone by commute time that afternoon to make way for construction of a new Weigel’s.
Another Weigel’s is planned for the former home of Stonehaus Winery at I-40 and Genesis Road.
