The Equity announced its 2024 Earn and Learn with The Equity scholarship recipients.
Each year, the scholarship is opened to high school seniors and current community college, junior college, university or trade school students. Eligible students include those majoring in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Agriculture, Precision Ag, Automotive, Diesel Technician or Technology.
This year, five students are scholarship recipients:
• Riley Durdel is a senior at Neoga High School majoring in Welding at Lake Land College in the fall of 2024.
• Maycee Moore is a senior at Red Hill High School majoring in Ag Business with a minor in Ag Communications at Lake Land College in the fall of 2024.
• Jonika Nickles is a senior at Oakland High School attending Lake Land College as an Ag Transfer student in the fall of 2024.
• Meyer Tarr is a senior at Newton Community High School majoring in Agriculture at Olney Central College in the fall of 2024.
• Dennis Wollin is a South Central High School graduate currently attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale majoring in Crop, Soil & Environmental Management.
The Equity Scholarship will bring a unique learning opportunity to these students as they will gain hands-on job experience through paid internships at The Equity during their college careers.
