Once a month we introduce you to a person from the community who uses the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System. This month I had the pleasure of chatting with a fairly new patron, Patti Cole. She told me that she just started coming into the library a month ago. She has always loved reading but she would buy the books instead of coming in to borrow them. She said she is enjoying all the books and doesn’t know why she didn’t come in earlier. Read on to find more out about her.
Request: Tell us a little about yourself.
Cole: I am a Christian senior citizen who loves God, family and friends. I enjoy my home, and reading brings me peace and a lot of enjoyment.
Question: How do you use the library?
Cole: I visit the library looking for good books to read..
Q: Why is the library important to you?
Cole: I love borrowing all the beautiful books.
Q: What is your favorite book of all time? If not a book, then a movie or TV show?
Cole: “Fatal Insomnia” by C.J. Lyons.
Q: What was the last book you recommended to a friend?
Cole: “Joshua” by Joseph F. Girzone.
Q: If you could have three authors over for dinner (living or dead), who would you invite?
Cole: C.J. Lyons, Fern Michaels and James Patterson.
• I hope you enjoyed getting to know Patti Cole. If you drop by the library you might even get to have a wonderful chat like I did. Public libraries are not only a place of literature, technology and education. They are also a place to connect with your community.
We are open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are interested in finding out more about what the library offers check out www.ngrl.org or our social media (@DaltonWhitfieldLibrary on Facebook, @DaltonGALibrary on Instagram and Twitter) for more program details. You can also call (706) 876-1360 or just drop by. You could end up as our next patron spotlight!
