The National Society Daughters of Colonial Wars Tennessee State Society met on March 15 at 5th Street Market Café in Crossville. Matha Waddell, representative from Blue Star Mothers, presented a very informative and moving program on this organization. She provided a brief history of the organization and how she became involved. She gave a description of the services they provide and the type of donations they accept. They are currently accepting donations for Easter boxes that will be sent to deployed veterans. She was very appreciative of the donations the society had collected prior to this meeting including a cash donation as well as many other items that had been collected.
