The Tennessee Highway Patrol, in cooperation with other police agencies and the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security has set traffic checkpoint schedule for THP’s 6th District Office out of Cookeville.
The following checkpoints are planned for Cumberland and area counties:
•Aug. 14, Fentress County at Hwy. 52E. and Nazarene Church.
•Aug. 14, Van Buren County, State Rt. 8 at mile marker 1.
•Aug. 14, Cumberland County, Hwy. 70 E. At Schaffer’s rock yard.
•Aug. 21, Putnam County, Hwy. 21 at State Route 290 and Hyder Burks Pavillion.
•Aug. 21, Cumberland County at Hwy. 68 at Alloway Rd.
•Aug. 28, Putnam County, Hwy. 70 at Upperman High School.
•Sept. 4, Putnam County, Hwy. 565 at mile .1 North of the Dekalb County line.
•Sept. 8, Cumberland County, Hwy. 70 at Pomona Rd.
•Sept. 18, Putnam County, Hwy. 56 at Jackson county line.
•Sept. 18, Cumberland County, Hwy. 299 at Airport Rd.
•Sept. 19, Putnam County, State Route 56 at the Dekalb county line.
•Sept. 25, White County, Hwy. 70 at Flat Rock Rd.
