The Oneonta boys basketball team downed Susquehanna Valley 77-59 at home Monday, getting off to a fast start on offense and never letting up.
The Yellowjackets put up 25 points in the first quarter and went on to score 45 in the first half before clamping down on defense and holding the Sabers to just four points in the third quarter.
Brady Carr led the scoring with 25 points while Britten Zeh and Makya Morrison had strong games as well with 21 and 18 points, respectively.
Luke Kariam led Susquehanna Valley with 24 points.
Oneonta (7-6) will be at Waverly Wednesday.
Cherry Valley-Springfield 62, Jefferson/Stamford 54Cherry Valley-Springfield topped Jefferson/Stamford 62-54 at home in Monday’s non-league matchup.
Duane Lefevre and Max Horvath each scored 17 points to lead CV-S while CJ Hurley pitched in nine points.
Gavin VanEtten led J/S with 15 points, followed close behind by Jordan Anderson’s 14 points and Henry Cole’s 10.
CV-S will visit Morris Tuesday.
Cherry Valley-Springfield 45, Roxbury 43 (Saturday)
The Cherry Valley-Springfield boys came back to defeat Roxbury 45-43 at home Saturday.
The Patriots went into halftime down by 16 and outscored Roxbury 33-15 in the second half to come out on top.
Trevor Campagna got a steal and took the lead with a layup with 15 seconds left and CV-S was able to hang on the rest of the way.
Duane LeFevre had a game-high 16 points for the Patriots while Campagna added 10 points, CJ Hurley tallied four points and 10 rebounds and Kris Cade had seven points and steals in the win.
Jordan Johnston had 13 points for Roxbury while Mason Hamil added 10 points in the loss.
Charlotte Valley 58, Jefferson/Stamford 30 (Friday)
Charlotte Valley used a 28-6 first half to take down Jefferson/Stamford 58-30 at home Friday.
Trevor Waid led the Wildcats with a triple-double of 17 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists while Ezra Ontl added 16 points and Luke Montgomery tallied 11 points and 19 rebounds in the win.
Jordan Anderson led J/S with 11 points in the loss.
Charlotte Valley will visit South Kortright Friday.
Delhi 82, Afton 26 (Friday)
Delhi cruised to an 82-26 win over Afton Friday on the road.
Ivan Richardson had a game-high 27 points for the Bulldogs while Rocco Schnabel had a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds, Lucas Nealis tallied 14 points and six assists, Angelo Krzyston had 9 points and 12 rebounds and Teddy Kelsh added six points and eight assists in the win.
Ryan Wright led Afton in scoring with nine points in the loss.
Delhi (12-2 overall, 8-0 league) will host Harpursville Thursday while Afton will visit Greene Tuesday.
