Andover High senior Vivian Moulson shattered a meet and state record in the 200 IM to highlight Sunday’s Division 1 state swimming championship meet held at Boston University.
Moulson’s time of 1:59.96 broke the meet record of 2:02.02 which was previously held by North Andover’s Malia Amuan from 2021 and her mark also broke the state record of 2:01.56, which was previously held by Westford Academy’s Jen Marrkand from 2014.
Moulson also won the 100 butterfly (54.11). Her teammate, Emilia Hukkanen captured the 500-freestyle title with a time of 5:15.99.
Haverhill also crowned two state champions, Alexandra Story in the 100-freestyle (53.70) and Georgia Abrams in the 50-free (24.94).
Haverhill finished third as a team, followed by Andover (4th), Methuen/Tewksbury (14th) and Central Catholic (15th).
The Methuen/Tewksbury boys swam against themselves to win the title. Ethan Corthell won two individual events and Jesse Torres won diving.
In Division 2, Noor Abdelal of North Andover won the 500-freestyle in 5:19.13 and she was also part of the winning 200-medley relay team.
On the boys side, North Andover’s Ethan Ackerman-Vallala won the 200-IM (1:55.98) and 100 breaststroke (57.96).
