Stamps wins race for public service commissioner

Democrat candidate DeKeither Stamps will represent Mississippi’s Central District on the three-seat Public Service Commission for the next four years after being declared the winner of the election Tuesday afternoon.
With 97% of the votes counted, Stamps held a lead of just over 2,100 votes over incumbent Republican Brent Bailey, who was seeking his second term in the seat.
