ST. PETER — High water levels on the Minnesota River have delayed part of a routine bridge inspection of the steel truss Highway 99 bridge in St. Peter, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The upper portion of the historic Highway 99 bridge over the Minnesota River in St. Peter will be routinely inspected Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday. During the project, traffic will be restricted to one lane across the bridge.
An inspection of the bridge’s lower portion will be scheduled after the river level lowers.
