Adirondack mountain club hosting hike
WILMINGTON — The Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club is hosting a hike up Catamount Mountain in Wilmington on July 26.
At a height of 3169 ft. and a 3.6 miles round trip of about 4 to 5 hours, this hike is considered moderate.

Openings remain for RENY golf tournament
PORT KENT — Openings remain for the Northeastern Zone Retired Educators of New York’s first annual golf tournament to be held Saturday, August 8 at Harmony Golf Course.
Registration begins at 11 a.m. and there will be a noon shotgun start.
The format is a four-person scramble, with first place being awarded in men’s, women’s and mixed divisions. Mulligans are four for $20. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and closest to the pin and closest to the line contests.
Hamburgers/hot dogs, salads, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided following play. The entry fee is $75 per player and includes 14 holes of golf, cart and meal. Proceeds will support local food shelves and the mission of RENY/NEZ.
