SUNY Oneonta to host ‘Kids in Sports Day’
SUNY Oneonta announced it will bring back its Kids in Sports Day next week.
Students in first through sixth grade are invited to join Red Dragon student athletes and coaches from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 3 at the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Field House for a free evening of catching, throwing, running and jumping. Participants will play in a variety of sports including gymnastics, dance, basketball, volleyball, field hockey, soccer, tee ball and more. All events are led by current Oneonta student-athletes and coaches.

SUNY Delhi to hold free lifeguard class
SUNY Delhi will hold a free lifeguard training class this spring. The class will run on Mondays and Thursdays from March 23 to May 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Attendance is mandatory at all sessions.
Participants must be 15 years or older and pass a swim test.
Pre-registration is required.
The class is paid for by a grant from NY Swims.

CCS seeks nominations for Athletic Hall of Fame
The Cooperstown Sports Booster Club and Cooperstown Central School are taking nominations for its Athletic Hall of Fame. Cooperstown will hold an induction weekend for the Class of 2026, over homecoming weekend, in late September or early October. A minimum of three individuals and one teams will be inducted.
Anyone may nominate a Cooperstown athlete for consideration. To be considered, an athlete must be a CCS graduate. Graduates from 2016 and earlier may be considered. Teams must be from spring 2016 or earlier. Coaches, administrators and boosters may also be considered. Coaches and administrators must be retired from CCS for at least two years to be eligible.
The deadline for nominations is March 31st.

Red Dragons to host volleyball camp
The SUNY Oneonta women’s volleyball team will host an on-campus girls’ camp from July 23 to 26. The camp is designed to develop and fine-tune the correct fundamentals of setting, passing, serving, hitting and defensive play.
Registration is open for girls age 13 to 18, grades 8 through 12. There are overnight and commuter options.
