The Fairfield Glade Police Department will conduct sobriety checkpoints throughout Fairfield Glade and in Cumberland County from 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27.
The checkpoints, an effort to rid the roadways of impaired drivers, may be on Peavine Rd., Hwy. 101 and Hwy. 70.
Officers will be on the lookout for impaired drivers who have chosen poorly and elect to drink and drive on these roadways.
Officers’ overtime is paid through a grant with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
FGPD will conduct these checkpoints in partnership with the THSO, Crossville Police Department, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies.
