MANKATO — A drug bust Saturday led to the seizure of nearly 6,000 pills containing fentanyl, as well as six arrests for suspected drug distribution, according to a release.
Mankato Department of Public Safety officers and Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force agents discovered the counterfeit pills and apprehended the suspects after executing a search warrant in Mankato.
Commander Chad Ruch described the operation as highlighting law enforcement’s commitment to combatting local distribution of dangerous substances.
“The efforts of the Drug Task Force in apprehending these individuals will hopefully prevent further harm and save lives,” he stated in the release. “Holding those responsible accountable is an important step in addressing the opioid crisis.”
The six suspects face requested charges of first-degree drug sales and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Their names and ages are as follows:
• Howard Junior Beacham, age 30
• Kane Alan Vanraalte, age 29
• Daniel David Schultz, age 29
• Nyapuot Dech Kuek, age 30
• Wynter Sophia Harrison, age 26
• Levone William Adams, age 40
