DANVILLE — The City of Danville announced on Thursday that sidewalk repairs on the Main Street bridge over Stoney Creek, 700 block of East Main Street, will be performed on Tuesday, July 14.
During this time, sidewalks on both sides of Main Street, along with one eastbound and one westbound lane will be closed — leaving just one lane of travel in each direction.
The work, which will affect both motorists and pedestrians, will begin at 6:30 a.m. and is schedule to be completed on Tuesday. Weather permitting in both cases.
City officials suggest finding an alternate route to avoid delays. There will be a high volume of construction traffic during operations. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling in the work zone, and to be attentive to the changes in traffic control.
