MCHENRY — Nick Sharps was named president of the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce during the Chamber’s Annual Membership Meeting & Dinner held June 4.
Sharps has been serving as interim president since January 2025 and brings a decade of experience with the Chamber to the role.
He joined the Chamber staff in August 2015 and spent nearly 10 years as the membership development manager, where he focused on addressing the needs of members and recruiting new businesses and organizations. During his tenure, he enrolled over 440 members and was recognized twice with the Circle of Champions Sales Contest award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
“As we look toward the future of the Chamber, I am both honored and humbled to take on this role,” said Sharps. “Garrett County is an incredible place to live, work and do business, and I’m excited to continue working alongside our members to strengthen our local economy and support our vibrant community.”
Sharps is a native of Garrett County and a graduate of Southern Garrett High School and Point Park University.
