SEABROOK — A local woman was charged with second-degree murder Monday after police say she stabbed her mother to death a day earlier.
At approximately 11:18 p.m. on Sunday, Seabrook Police Department officers responded to an apartment at the Rockingham Village Apartments in Seabrook in response to a 911 call. Upon arrival, officers found 45-year-old Cheryl Stoddard dead from what appeared to be a stab wound.
On June 30, an arrest warrant was issued for Stoddard’s daughter, Brynn Comtois, 24, charging her with one count of second-degree murder. Comtois has been arrested, and an arraignment is anticipated to take place pending the court’s schedule.
An autopsy determined Stoddard’s cause of death was a single stab wound to the neck, and her manner of death was homicide, according to published report.
