Sea test goes awry at boat ramp

SALEM — An apparent sea test of a 21-foot boat went awry Sunday morning at the Kernwood Bridge boat ramp when the pickup truck and trailer carrying the vessel ended up underwater.
There were no injuries reported. Salem public safety crews responded to the scene and the truck and trailer hitch were eventually hauled up the ramp out of the water.
The boat itself had been disconnected and was brought to a dock.
